Find a Need and Fill It

Many people have discovered that success in business is often little more than the result of identifying a need or a desire that many people have, and finding a way to profitably help them receive what they desire most. While a lot of people have set out to perform exactly this function for the rest of the world, many people have a problem with actually accomplishing the ends they desire through this process. There are a couple of reasons why some people simply do not succeed, and those reasons are almost never insurmountable. As the saying goes, where there is a will there is undoubtedly a way, even if the way involves traversing a horrible climate and a lot of natural and man made obstacles.

One of the problems a lot of people have is that they perceive a need or desire which simply does not exist. If someone has the ability to pay you for what you can offer them, but they have no interest in paying you so much as a dime to do so, you are going to be very hungry in short order. No matter how much money a potential client may have, if they do not want what you are selling in spite of your best explanations of what the benefits to them will be, the time may be right to sell something else.

As well, many people fail in business because they target people or organizations which do not have the ability to pay them what they must charge. Naturally, you want to make some kind of a profit for what you do. But in cases such as working with a non-profit entity, they may simply have no funds available with which to pay you, even if they desperately want your product or service offering. While you might have a great charitable cause to benefit, it may be very hard to keep your lights on through providing charitable services.
